NABER, ALFS & BRUNE WHOLESALE LIQUOR DEALERS SAN FRANCISCO
Thomas 122.1880-83. Here is a western whiskey some people aren't familiar with, the scotch neck Phoenix. Made for just a few years, this company seemed to be everywhere producing a myriad of bottles during the early 1880's. As it turns out, they were very predominant in the Monterey Bay area and many are found there. This is no exception. There are two variants of the scotch neck, one does not have an embossed Phoenix. These are tough to find and rarely pop up. There is an area on the reverse bottom that looks to have been done in manufacturing. It's like the semi-molten glass touched against something. The bottle itself is beautiful in color and condition. Strong strike and a drippy lip all combine to make a terrific and rare bottle.
